    Regensburg has a fascinating history. Learn about the animal fights, reckless tightrope artists and public executions that lured people into the city streets during the Middle Ages. The city, once divided by glittering wealth and bitter poverty, has come a long way.

    Included - Scenic Passau (AM)

    Into beautiful scenery and architecture? Don't pass on Passau. Situated at the intersection of the Danube, Inn and llz rivers, the city boasts some of the best views on the German-Austrian border. Take a hike to one of Passau's best viewpoints: Veste Oberhaus. The views are storybook, allowing you to see the entire city of Passau as well as the surrounding countryside. Get lost in the city’s maze of old town alleys. Get your architecture fix at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, with its distinctive domed towers. Fun fact: The cathedral is also home to one of the largest organs in the world, with 17,974 pipes.

    Come along for a good old-fashioned holiday adventure! Light a torch and take a scenic walk along the river Ilz where your U Host will lead your group in singing Christmas songs, drinking mulled wine, indulging in sweet treats, roasting s’mores over the fire and making a stop at a beautiful, festive barn.     Can’t get enough Christmas? Well you’re in luck, Vienna is home to some of the best and most festive Christmas markets in Europe! Spend the morning sipping seasonal drinks, laughing with friends and getting yourself something sweet to eat. It’s vacation after all!

    Included Night Out - A Viennese New Year (PM)

    When it comes to New Year’s celebrations, no place does it quite like Vienna! Follow the New Year’s Eve Trail through Vienna’s old city center, listening to music, dancing and eating local delicacies. At midnight, ring in 2019 with a large firework display on City Hall Square and in the Prater. Happy New Year!

    Experience Vienna’s greatest hits in one tour! Your experience begins in Karlsplatz, just a hop skip and a jump away on the inner-city metro system (pass included)! It's located on the Danube and surrounded by vineyards and the Carpathian Mountains, so a fully-charged phone for pictures is a must. Known for its lively bars and art deco cafes, it's a great place for Czech beer and Bohemian eats. Soak in the relaxed urban lifestyle of the pedestrian-only, 18th-century Old Town. Then, treat yourself to a croissant or an éclair from a Bratislava pastry shop. Or both. We're good with that.

    Head out with your U Host for an exciting orientation walk along the Danube in Budapest. As you begin to walk, famous buildings and attractions will pop up left and right. Start by hopping into a Škoda car, Czechoslovakia’s legendary automobile, where a local expert will take you off the beaten path to some amazing Soviet monuments, viewpoints and food markets. There, you can get a taste of the socialist worker’s cuisine and snacks. Finish your tour with a drive into Bratislava’s old town where you can explore before heading back to the ship.

    U Time - Hungarian Holidays (PM)

    Follow your U Host into the beautiful city of Budapest for a holiday adventure! Head to the Philanthia shop lined with amazing Christmas décor, perfect for getting you in the holiday spirit! Then head to the St. Stephen's Basilica for a little bit of exploring, then cap it off with a drink at the Rooftop Igloo on Andraszi Street. You won’t be saying brrr for long after a few beers!
